Once Upon A Time...
...we stayed a night in a hotel.

Special Person's Day
PHCS does a sweet little event called Special Person's Day on the day before Thanksgiving break. Each child invites a person they want to share their day with at school, and then they do a performance, and spend the day showing them around the school, sharing a homemade lunch with them, and telling them how special they are. And they get pumpkin pie.

Grown Up Dinner Parties
I wanted to have some friends over again this year to celebrate my birthday.
This time, I decided to have a craft workshop taught by my boss, and enjoy a meal, and spend the evening together.
I think it went well, and I really enjoyed it. The friends that came all had fun, and we made a really cool necklace. Happy grown up dinner party to me!

Sacramento Field Trip
I love that I have the freedom this year to drive for field trips. I'm learning a lot, and also I get to be with the kids as they discover cool new stuff.
Today we jetted over to Sacramento to visit the capital, and Sutter's Fort. Both were fun!

Happy 5th Birthday Nolan!
This guy turned 5.
We had a fun breakfast, where he drank syrup off his plate, and then went to the park for a gigantic playdate/birthday party.
He really enjoyed his time.
I really enjoyed the easy set up and cleanup.
He got lots and lots and lots of legos, and celebrated with all his friends and family!
Happy birthday to the little boy who makes me smile even when I'm spitting mad, and who always is first to give me a hug after school. Happy birthday to the one who makes the noise level rise in the house, and whose energy is sorely missed when you're away. Love you to the moon and back my littlest little!

Birthday Weekend
This year for my birthday I arranged a get away to the lake for our family. I invited friends to come up, and my parents came up on my birthday to spend the day with us. It was the perfect weekend. Sunny, and warm. We spent the days at the lake working on our tans.
The kids carved pumpkins, and we roasted pumpkin seeds to perfection, and ate insane amounts of food, drank wine, and did a lot of laughing.
It felt like a much needed time of vacation.
And best yet...no trick-or-treating or halloween.
