Easter 2016

Easter and Easter Break were a super fun time for us all this year! The school did their annual easter party, and one of the moms made these amazingly beautiful cupcakes for everyone. 



 

Easter was a beautiful sunny day! I love it when the weather cooperates with the celebration of the risen Lord!
 
 

 


 
 
 
 
 

 
 

I did super simple kids gifts for them.  No baskets, but little bags
 filled with fun little things, and we did our annual easter egg hunt out at my parents with extended family as well.  Food, fun, running wild in the blossoming apple trees, and - of course- some guitar playing. 

Spring Break

Spring Break Day 1 Goal: Stay in Jammies. Try not to kill the kids after they build the dreaded blanket fort....


Spring Break Day 2 Goal: Get these kids outside.  You know its been a good spring walk when all the socks are soaked, all the shoes are muddy, and 3 of the 6 children are wet from head to toe.  Such muddy excellence deserves a Screamin' Mimi's ice cream treat.....

Spring Break Day 4 Goal: Chill out all day....

Spring Break Day 5 Goal: Bake and make soup, and drink some good wine...

 
 

Happy 39th to this Guy.....

 We celebrated with a beautiful day, and some leftover cake! One kid snuggled up to read a book (shocker) and another one was a grumpy mess. Always fun...

Handbell Performance

Watching the oldest littles playing handbells this morning at Occidental Community Church.

Basket Ball 2016

The kids enjoyed their first year with the SRBC youth basketball league.  Nolan and Maeve did the mini hoops section....more a skills lab time with some scrimmage work, and Cannon got to play on a team with some of his buddies and did pretty good for the most part.  It was a good season for all!
