2nd Grade Swim Lesson

Reason #2597 that I love the kids school?
Swim lessons for school. 
What more could a kid ask for?

The local rotary club sponsors free swim lessons for the 2nd graders in the town.  The kids get lessons twice a week for 4 weeks.  It's probably the bestest, most fun reason ever to leave school 1/2 way through the day. 
At least my 2nd grader thinks so.....

15th Anniversary/Tahoe Trip

As much as I would have loved to go away just Rich and I to celebrate this special anniversary, we decided to make it a family affair and head to Tahoe instead.
And I'm so glad we did!
It snowed, we sledded, we played, we relaxed, we hot-tubed, we introduced the kids to great movies.....it was the perfect anniversary

 The kids had a blast dragging dad from the hot tub to the icy cold pool.

 Happy Anniversary to us! Fire and some snuggling with a storm brewing outside.

 Playing Twister with a kindergartner requires labeling of lefts and rights.

(Its SUPER fun to hike in the slushy snowstorm at 7500ft elevation - said no on ever. #wemightdie #prettysuretherearebearsouthere)

 Hiking in the snow...and then sledding...and then building snow men.  Perfect day in Tahoe.

My littlest one's feet are HUGE!!!

These sweet 1980's retro books survived another winter in Tahoe.  Awesome.
