Solar Living Institute

Rich and I both got to go to the Solar Living Institute for the field trip with Brynn's class. We built solar powered cars, and raced them. Super fun.

 
 
So many cool things to look at, and best of all, we had the fun of watching Brynn interact with her friends all day. 



Its the last field trip of the year, and I'm getting sad about the fact that she won't be at PHCS any longer....

Maeve Turns 8

Happy 8th birthday to my "quiet" one, the one who always wants to do things perfectly, whose cheek dimple only pops out when she's grinning, and whose laughter is so contagious that it can be heard throughout the house. Happy 8th birthday to my intoxicating joy.

Minecraft Combo Birthday Party

Cannon and Maeve wanted a combo birthday party this year. 
Fine with me! Actually, very easy and a perfect way for them to celebrate their birthdays together!

It was a minecraft themed party...with each of them having their own colored decor, and their own choice of food. Super fun to do, and easy!

Apology Notes

Nolan had to write an apology note for doing something mean to a friend at school.  He wrote most of it...and decorated the rest with stickers.  After it was done, I couldn't help but laugh at the message....

History Day Competition

Off to state competitions! The girls competed at 11:20am on friday in Rocklin. I prayed for the girls to have peace, and good recall of their script, and fun!!! The girls worked really hard but unfortunately (not really) they didn't move on to the next level.  We enjoyed the time away in the hotel, and stayed an extra day to take advantage of the indoor pool and tv! And I tried Chic-fil-A for the first time in my life.
It was ok. 

My favorite part was coming home to find this note....

Cannon Turns Double Digits

Its the birthday that he's been waiting for....for a while.
For whatever reason, this birthday was a big, big deal to him.
Double Digits.

Happy Birthday to the kids whose curiosity for life leads to experiments with electrical outlets, who ALWAYS has a fun fact ready to spill out, and who has perfected the art of conversation and delegation to a T.  Praying that you grow to love the Lord even more this year.
