Christmas Happenings

A random collection of pics from this month....

Nolan wanted to pose with this guy....
 ...and this girl....

My home is all decorated and ready! I even got new stockings this year!!!

We are still in the car all. the.  time.

But to make it fun, we like to mess with the dog...

I put some handmade sugars and salts in the school craft fair, and am using all the earned money to pay tuition next month!

Christmas Program

I admit it.
I had a "moment" tonight at my kids Christmas program.
I'm thankful.
So very thankful.

The Storm of the Century

A storm hit us this last week.
It was awesome!
People were freaking out, buying batteries, water, and candles getting ready for "the storm of the century".
Apparently it was a big deal some places...flooding, windy, etc, but we didn't suffer too much.

Best part of the dumping rain is the puddles that are left.

Nolan really enjoyed this one...

More Homeschool Preschool

We've been trucking along through the alphabet.
At this rate we should be done by....June.
Some weeks it just doesn't happen.
And some weeks, it would prob be better if I didn't force it to happen.
But we are learning as we go!

It's like I blinked and saw that he's not really a baby anymore...

Christmas Tree Murder

It started raining, but we didn't let that stop us...
Rich even *let* Cannon chop down the tree this year!

I broke in my new boots, got the obligitory pic with Santa, and came home with 4 more sets of reindeer antlers (total count: 8), and a cute tree to put up.

It's beginning to look like Christmas!

Garage Addition

We were given this piano recently!

I've loved going out in the garage and sitting down and spending some time playing.
My skill level is ridiculously low, considering I had lessons until I was 13....
Sad.
I've started back up with some basic scale work, and easy music. I can still read the music, but getting my brain to tell my fingers what to do at the right time is something that I have to totally re-learn.
In the meantime...baby steps.

Hopefully the piano can survive the anxiety chewing of Lily.
She's slightly bonkers lately...

Little Lake Getaway

I took the kids up to Clearlake to hang out with the sacramento cousins. The weather was beautiful! Water was freezing, but that didn't stop Nolan from getting in. Might as well swim, cause, you know, water temp of 56 degrees isn't too bad.....
{He's crazy.}

The kids played, and jet skied, and preformed dance shows for us.
The adults chatted, and shared a bottle of really nice wine, and enjoyed the weather.

Nice little over night get-away!
