The Good Stuff

Sometimes I just can't erase pics off my phone cause they show the good stuff that goes on. The little things: date night, a walk at the coast at sunset, a plate of really really really good scones, my kids in their element, an unusually sunny day that give me a chance to soak in the rays, dirty sneakers, a movie night, a love note from the hubby, and a gaggle of my kids squished together in the back seat of a too small car....just the little things that make life more fun. So thankful to a God who created this world, and who gives us little tiny snapshots of the good stuff...just a glimpse or preview of the great things to come.

History Day

The girls have been working for weeks to memorize their Marco Polo performance for History Day.  We loaded up early, and they performed well.

And then they qualified for state.

Sooooooo......on we go to state championships!

6th Grade Field Trip

I had the privilidge of going with Brynn's class for an overnight field trip to San Jose.  We did the Tech Museum, and the Egyptian museum and also had a fun night at the hotel swimming and hanging out with friends.
Love the opportunities that this small school and class size are giving her.  I'm feeling pretty incredibly blessed that the Lord has led us here for this time.

When we got back to school, Nolan was pretty happy to have her (and me) back.

Orchestra

I've got a {not so secret now} love of orchestra music.  Today's field trip was absolutely perfect.

100's Day

Brynn got a new camera for christmas. She is really enjoying taking some pics, and I'm loving watching her as she discovers life through the lens.

Basketball Break

Apparently Nolan needed to take a little break during the basketball scrimmage.

Cousin Sleepover

We don't get to see the cousins as much lately, so times like these mean even more to us all.

Sleepovers are not complete unless there is some sort of wrestling....(eye roll). 

Reading with Dad

We all congregate in the living room on the couches. Brynn sits in the chair, Rich and I sit near each other, Maeve and Cannon snuggle together under a blanket, and Nolan finds a spot to settle in.

Then Rich reads and we all enjoy some time in our cozy home. And, inevitably, we carry off the little guy to bed, already asleep. 

This is the stuff that I want to remember!
