Sad but Funny

The kids love to play outside, which is great for me, and not so great for the dog. Poor Treks is without water every time they go out, because their favorite thing to play with is his full water bowl. They love to dump rocks, dirt, bark, sand and leaves into it, and then splash around until there is nothing left. With all the toys to play with, its amazing that they love the simplest things.
The other day, Brynn called me out to come and get Cannon. It was a cute picture, so I went to get the camera. Apparently, I took too long, and the fun was over quickly....

Cute picture..

Not so fun anymore...

Time Has Flown..

Hey, just thought I would compare these pictures. Only one who hasn't changed much is the dog.

Craigslist

Well, if you don't know what Craigslist is, you have to check it out. Its an online market of goods that are sold everywhere in the US. People post what they have for sale, and you buy it. Its free, fun and super addictive. I check it everyday to find out if there is something that I need to buy out there. I also occasionally post items to be sold. Well, Brynn knows that I check it, and sometimes wants to check it as well. We enjoy looking at all the things that we want to buy, and talking about what we would do with them. The funny thing is that I think she knows a little too much.
Today she told me that she was ready to "check email". (Apparently I do this a lot as well.) She got on the computer, played with the mouse, looked intently at the screen and told me that she did it. "I have the address", she said. "What address", I asked her. "I have the address so that I can sell Cannon on Craigslist", she replied.
Hee, hee.

First Haircut

Cannon is 11 months old, and has grown quite a mullet. It was time to take care of it.
I have to admit, I had some serious sadness over losing his curls in the back.
Here is the before and after of his haircut, or should I say - Haircute....

A Park in Davis...

When we take long trips, we like to stop and give the kids a little bit of a break. This park in Davis is pretty cool. They have 3 playground areas, and a cool little water feature. It wasn't quite hot enough to go in, but the kids wanted to anyway, and Rich is always game for somthing like this.

What a Mess

A picture speaks a thousand words!

Easter

Easter was spent in Tahoe this year. After a great mess of dying and decorating eggs, we had the chance to hide them for Brynn and Cannon.

It was pretty fun to watch her find them. This is the first year that she is really starting to understand all the fun of holidays. We started to teach her about the real meaning of easter, but I don't know if that made as much impact on her as dying the eggs did. Oh well...

Tahoe Vacation #2

We went back up to tahoe this last week for another wonderful vacation. My parents, sister, and friend Max were all there to share it with us. The cabin was "cozy" (small) and very "retro" (sweet orange shag carpet, and green/orange paisley curtains). We had a blast.

We took lots of walks, went to the Lake, and even celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. .
I am so grateful for these times. I was laying in our room one night, and all around me I heard the sounds of my family sleeping. I felt totally at peace, and so incredibly blessed.

Flower Girl

Brynn was a flower girl in a wedding this last month. She did really well. I was super nervous that she wouldn't walk down the aisle, but she did great, and even managed to drop a few daisies along the way.

After the ceremony, she enjoyed a dance with daddy.

She disapeared for awhile, and when we found her, she was making use of all the leftover petals from the ceremony.
