Richardson Grove Camping 2016

This was, by far, one of the best camping trips I've been on in a loooooong time.
The redwoods, the river, the friends, the food.....oh my goodness.  The food!!!

Packed and ready to go, and soooo excited to get there!

A legit kitchen set up.  No campfire hot dogs for us!
The Eel River is beautiful! And freezing.  But beautiful!
 Look at those giant trees!

These two are usually up to no good.

Had a "slight" reaction to some bug bites.  Nothing a little benedryl cream wont cure....

Apparently he was attempting to make taffy.
Brooke and I looking extremely glamourous by day 4.
We did all the touristy things on the drive home.  Super worth it!

We will miss you Richardson Grove!!!

Father's Day

Happy Fathers Day to the guy who plunges toilets and fixes freezers without complaining.
I hope you enjoy your gift....
Maybe this way, you won't be confused with a homeless guy while you nap on your lunch break at work.....

Ballet Performance

She's all ready for her first dance performance.  I can't wait to watch. Everyone will be there, and the theatre is sold out.

My little dancer....

Special Time with my Girl

Brynn wasn't participating in VBX this year, and the rest of the kids were.  So she and I spent the week talking and experiencing all sorts of "grown up" things. Brynn got her first pedicure, and her first time to the salon for eyebrow shaping. We spent the week talking  It was a really special week for us.  I enjoyed the time with her, and enjoyed all of our activities.

I love this girl and am so honored to be her mom and be the one that gets to watch her grow up.

Treks and the Cone of Shame

The vet suggested I give carrots to Lily as a treat since she loves to eat, and isn't needing to pack on any pounds.  So I bought some carrots and gave it a try.
Lilly sniffed at them, took a bite, dropped it and walked away.
Well, Treks went over to have a go at the carrot and a scuffle occurred.
The "scuffle" ended up with Treks in a cone for two weeks with stitches in his ears, and a $400 emergency vet fee.
Moral of the story: Don't steal Lilly's carrots.

Internship and Teaching Time

Rich is starting the internship program at church and will be given several opportunities over the next few months to practice teaching.  I really enjoyed listening to Rich teach on the first chapter of Galatians this morning at church.

Summer

Day One.  Hour two.  "Mom we promise to clean all this up."
I might go crazy first.
Summer Day One, Hour Three.  I burned my fingers.  On the bright side: I got to try out three home remedies for burn pain.
Different Year, Same Slurpee tradition.  Minus Lola.
A hybrid crochet/bocce ball thing going on here.  I think it might have also included wrestling and tackle. Who knows with this crew.

 Pink Hair.  Why not?
Top Ramen Salad.  Its a thing.
