Winter nights, movies, and my kiddos make for cuddly nights that are my fav.

Christmas Lights

Decorating for Christmas was a little different this year.  We helped the neighbors and they let us use some of their fun decorations!
The kids got to do anything they liked with the decorations, and I actually think it came out pretty fun!

  

Turkey Day

We took a walk this morn to get some fresh air, and enjoy this beautiful sunshine before our day of eating all that food.
Kids ran around the park, and Rich and I walked and talked and walked and talked. 

 And then apparently the dog was very sleepy and needed a nap...complete with a blanket and pillow. (eye roll)

 Always a bad sign when you aren't allowed to look a the gingerbread houses...turns out there was more eating of the decorations then building with them.

Thankful for my friends, for family, for laughter.  Thankful for the things past and the things to come.  Thankful for the hard things and the easy things.  Thankful to my Lord for the things He has done.

Lego Adventures

Its a scene straight out of an epic pirate adventure.  Complete with a man eating alligator and a shark attack.  Gotta love Cannon & Maeves' imagination.

Growing up...

Sometimes I look at her and am amazed at what I see.  Sometimes she looks like she's older...like she is almost an adult, and then I catch that flicker in her smile that reminds me of her as a baby...as a toddler, as a 5 year old and so on.  I'm thankful for this year to spend time with just her, and get to know her all over again.

   

And when their hair gets a trim, they turn from my rascally boys to two guys who are growing up more and more each day.  I'm excited to see what they become.  Who the Lord shapes them into.  And so I continue to pray each day that they follow the Lord in all they do...even in their sillyness.

School & Fall Adventures

Homeschool is trucking along. I still don't love it, but I think its a good fit for Brynn right now.
She enjoys the time with the dog...if nothing else.


 I enjoy getting out and discovering parks and hiking as part of our day.





And it feels like a successful day with there are still smiles at 11:45 am....
At PHCS I am still able to go along on the other kids field trips.  On this one, Nolan got to pet corn snakes and turtles.  All of his favorite things....


And Basketball is starting again!!! Yay!

Six is Awesome

Last, but not ever, ever least.  Happy 6th birthday to the guy who's famous for always being covered in dirt, leaving a trail of mess and destruction behind him, and....of course....those saggy pants.

 Six is awesome.  And so is that smile.
