Woah.
We had our first official sleepover birthday party. And it was a learning experience for us all!
She loves to camp, and wanted a backyard camping adventure themed party.
We sat down together and came up with a ton of ideas!
It was actually fun to plan together!
The invite was a tent in a brown paper bag envelope.
S'more kits went home with friends when they left the party.
We had our traditional birthday breakfast, and Brynn got an iPod.
She was just a *wee* bit excited....
Her one wish for the day was to go hang out at the pet store...so we did that too!
We decorated the house, backyard, set up the tent and the firepit for the kids.
There were a couple outdoorsy type art projects to do...cause Brynn loves all things art.
And the pool...of course.
Dinner was all camping style food, including hot dogs cooked over the firepit, and instead of cake and ice cream (which she has never liked) we had campfire cones.
For breakfast there was instant oatmeal and pumpkin muffins.
And a bunch of grumpy, tired, and emotional girls.
{yay}
I'm really amazed as I watch Brynn turn into this mini grownup. She has such a sweet and innocent nature to her. I watch her interact with her siblings, and am blown away with the imaginative mind, and patience and love that she has for them. I see her watching the world, and learning about who she is, and growing in wisdom. She is such a blessing to us! Happy 10th birthday sweetie! We love you to the moon and back!
