End of the Year Antics

We've hit the last week of school.
With it comes the annual "burning of the books" bonfire.
And it was glorious.

There was the end of the year water fight, and Nolan just made himself right at home.

And then we had to clean out backpacks and get rid of stuff, set stuff aside to be used next year, and throw away old banana peels....

We also had the Spring Program and Awards night for school.

The kids preformed a ton of songs, recited some poetry, did a few skits, and dances that they have been working on through out the year, and the teachers presented each of them with unique awards.  One for some sort of character trait, and one for academics.
It was definitely a special night for them.

These kids finished strong last night. I watched them sing and dance, and smile and joyfully hug their teachers and give high fives to their new friends. So grateful to the Lord for this year.

And, of course, we just HAD to keep up the tradition of slurpees with the cousins on the last day of their school year.
